The All-New 2022 INFINITI QX60
The all-new INFINITI QX60 is out to raise the bar in the premium SUV category for discerning SUV owners. The fresh lines of the QX60 Monograph concept are just the beginning. We have equally high expectations for the upgrades focused on interior passenger comfort and technology. From the first glance at the fluid-like lines, it is clear that the new QX60 will meet your desire for driving enjoyment in a very unique and dynamic manner. Power With Purpose
The powertrain of the new QX60 is the well-proven platform found in the 2022 Pathfinder. The 295 hp 3.5L V-6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission offer more power and towing capability than the previous continuously variable transmission. The primary platform will feature front-wheel drive. However, all-wheel drive will be an option. These purposeful upgrades offer drivers an additional 1,000 pounds of towing capability over the current model, making a 6,000 pound trailer very doable for this new hulking luxury SUV.
A Peek Inside
Currently, the only images released offer details about the new sleek and exciting exterior. But sources are quick to point out that the QX60 has always been and will remain a three-row SUV with ample space and features for up to seven passengers. The promises for the interior focus on upgrades in design, including superior materials and added function to stay in pace with the facelift to the exterior. One of the most popular features in three-row SUVs is the second-row captain’s chairs for easy access to row three and exceptional comfort. Experts foresee this seating configuration to be an option in the all-new QX60.
Elite Technology Features
The current version of the QX60 offers dual informational screens, but that feature has not wowed drivers. The expectation is for INFINITI to step up their game to include 10 or 12-inch displays similar to the other elite SUVs on the market. It is also a safe bet that INFINITI will retain their onboard entertainment package that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, onboard Wi-Fi, Amazon Alexa integration, and SiriusXM satellite radio. But there have been no confirmations outlining the specifics of the new technology package or possible upgrades.
With the QX60 still in the concept stage, there are no crash test results from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. However, INFINITI is known for high standards for safety features and technology. There is no doubt that the QX60 will live up to consumer’s expectations. Some of the features expected include forward collision warning accompanied by automatic braking, lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
